Workers’ Compensation

Daniel Coker has been at the forefront of Mississippi workers' compensation practice since the passage of the Mississippi Workers' Compensation Act in 1948. In fact, our founder, Joe Daniel, defended one of the first claims litigated under the Act. Through the years, our workers' compensation practice has continued to grow. Currently, Daniel Coker attorneys represent local and national employers and carriers in over 1,300 active claims. We are also proud that two of our workers' compensation attorneys are listed in The Best Lawyers in America.

Daniel Coker represents our clients on a statewide basis from offices in Jackson, Oxford and Gulfport. In addition to Mississippi workers' compensation claims, our practice has expanded to include Jones Act and Longshoremen and Harbor Workers' Act litigation, as well as Medicare-related matters. Our attorneys also assist companies in obtaining self-insured status with the Mississippi Workers' Compensation Commission.
