Financial Institutions & Credit Litigation
Daniel Coker has a long history of representing commercial banks, credit unions, finance companies, mortgage bankers and their fidelity bond and insurance providers in regulatory matters, and commercial and consumer disputes of every kind. Because we understand this business and the complex web of agreements and laws applicable to credit transactions, we have also represented financial institutions in the auditing and conveyance of loan portfolios and other assets.
A few examples of Daniel Coker attorneys’ experience include the defense of claims over the sale or liquidation of collateral assets; credit life, credit liability and loan protection claims; institutional liability for check forgery and kiting schemes; institutional liability for acts of employee dishonesty; enforcement of guarantees and letters of credit; fidelity bond coverage and applicable insurance coverage; and violation of federal laws including the Truth in Lending and Fair Debt Collection Practices Acts.
