The Mississippi Tort Claims Act (“MTCA”) is the exclusive remedy for all state-law claims against a governmental entity.  The leaders and managers of Mississippi public entities should be familiar with the type of claims that are and are not allowed under the MTCA.  Using recent Mississippi Supreme Court decisions as examples, Mitchell Driskell will provide suggestions on how governmental entities can defend themselves from claims of negligence.
