Silas focuses his practice in the areas of labor and employment and mass tort.  He practices labor and employment law exclusively for management. His practice includes representation of public and private employers in all areas of employment law, including discrimination and civil rights issues, wage and hour, employment contracts, covenants not to compete, wrongful discharge, misappropriation of trade secrets, and general advice and counseling. Putting his years of experience to further use, Silas is a certified mediator in labor and employment matters.  

Best Lawyers in America® has recognized Silas’s work in the areas of business organizations (including LLCs and partnerships), employment law – management, litigation – labor and employment, and defense of mass tort litigation/class actions.

Silas is often successful in obtaining summary judgment for his clients without the necessity of trial, and he is a capable trial attorney. Silas chairs the firm’s Labor and Employment practice group and serves as co-chair of the Mass Tort practice group.
