Mississippi Court of Appeals Affirmed Trial Court’s Ruling in a Premises Liability Case

After a four-day trial a directed verdict was granted by the trial court.  Thereafter, the plaintiff appealed to the Mississippi Court of Appeals, and the Court affirmed the trial court’s ruling with a lengthy premises liability opinion which made significant law on this cause of action. Plaintiff then requested certiorari by the Mississippi Supreme Court which was denied with one justice, Randolf, ruling to grant.  The process took over two years.
