MS Supreme Court Reverses MS Court of Appeals and Reinstates Dismissal of Defendant

The Mississippi Supreme Court reversed the judgment of the Mississippi Court of Appeals and reinstated the Jackson County Circuit Courts’ dismissal of Defendant based on the fact that the Complaint was filed outside the limitations period.  The Court also reinstated the dismissal of a second action finding that the filing of a second complaint violated the long-standing prohibition on claim splitting.  Carpenter v.
