Overview

Edward G. Kennebrew Jr. (Ed) is an Associate in Daniel Coker’s Madison, MS law office. He earned his J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law in 2020, with a focus on banking compliance, contracts, and corporate law. During law school, he was involved with the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project and served as Director of the Jackson Alumni Chapter of Kappa League.

Before attending law school, Ed earned a Master of Science in Technology Education and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Jackson State University. While at JSU, he was a student-athlete and later a graduate assistant coach for the Track & Field program. He was also active in several academic and leadership organizations.

Prior to joining Daniel Coker in 2025, Ed served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge Winston Kidd in Hinds County Circuit Court. He later worked as an Assistant Public Defender in Hinds County, representing clients in various stages of criminal and youth court proceedings. His background also includes drafting motions, orders, and legal memoranda in both trial and pretrial settings.

Before entering the legal profession, Ed held analytical and client-focused roles with Lockheed Martin, FEMA, and State Farm, where he developed skills in problem-solving, public service, and strategic communication.

He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Mississippi.
