Forks Obtain Dismissal Based on Qualified Immunity

Miles Forks obtained dismissal of a case filed against a former police chief for claims that plaintiff’s right to be free from retaliation for speech on a matter of public concern were violated.  The Court found that plaintiff failed to establish a violation of a clearly established constitutional right and that defendant was entitled to qualified immunity.  The case was filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi.
