Mississippi Supreme Court Reverses Circuit Court Ruling on Venue

Co-defendant erroneously listed Hinds County, MS as its principal place of business with the Secretary of State.  The correct location is Madison County, MS.  Co-defendant filed a Motion to Transfer.  The circuit court judge in Hinds County denied the motion and co-defendant appealed.  Our client joined in the appeal.  The Mississippi Supreme Court reversed the lower court’s decision and ordered the circuit judge to transfer the case to Madison County, MS.  The accident happened outside of Mississippi.  Our client, who operates a business in Neshoba County, MS, is represented by Attorney Jim Weems.
