Premises Liability Suit Against Local Bar Dismissed

Attorneys Ed Taylor and Grant Tarleton represented a local bar in a premises liability claim where the Plaintiff alleged a bar stool collapsed, causing her to suffer a significant shoulder injury. The Circuit Court of Harrison County granted summary judgment in favor of the bar based on the undisputed facts that: 1) the Defendant did not create the broken bar stool; 2) the Defendant did not know the bar stool was broken; and 3) the Defendant should not have known the bar stool was broken.
