U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi Granted Winston County Motion for Summary Judgment Based on Qualified Immunity

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi granted Winston County and its employees’ motion for summary judgment based on qualified immunity. The plaintiff alleged that the county and its employees violated his Eighth and Fourteenth Amendment rights by denying him adequate access to medical care while in the county’s correctional facility. The Court found that the Winston County defendants were immune and dismissed all claims against them.
