Obtained Judgment As A Matter Of Law in Section 1983 Civil Rights Suit

Obtained judgment as a matter of law on behalf of a County and its law enforcement officers in a Section 1983 civil rights suit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi.  Plaintiffs alleged the officers violated their Fourth Amendment rights by searching their apartment and seizing suspected evidence of criminal activity.  The Court held that the plaintiffs’ claims were not supported by the evidence and that the officers proved they were entitled to qualified immunity.
