Summary Judgment Obtained in Stone County Circuit Court

Summary Judgment was granted in favor of a local Community College pursuant to the provisions of the Mississippi Tort Claims Act. Plaintiff alleged that she broke her leg while riding down a slide at a haunted house which was being sponsored by the school on its property. The Court found that maintaining the haunted house was a discretionary function under the Tort Claims Act that precluded liability under the facts of the case.
